Arthur K. Tallis,
President & CEO
Arthur Tallis has been working in the commercial real estate industry for over 40 years.
Since May 2014, Arthur has been practising as a licensed broker mainly within the Ottawa market. During this period, he’s developed and implemented marketing plans and leasing strategies for a well known portfolio of 1.5 million square feet; implemented continuous improvement plans to optimize and build on market strengths for the properties to increase their value; prepared, negotiated and coordinated from conception to execution of various types of lease transactions including new, renewal, extensions, expansions, relocations, subleases and assignments; actively networked within the Ottawa real estate industry to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends; prepared, negotiated and coordinated acquisitions of multiple properties for private sector investors and also on behalf of “Her Majesty The Queen”.
Arthur worked with Morguard Investments Limited from October 1979 to May 2013.
From June 1995 to May 2013, Arthur became Morguard’s Vice President of the Property Management & Leasing divisions for Eastern Canada and was based in Ottawa, Ontario. During this 18 year period, he was instrumental and actively involved in the expansion and management of the portfolio that expanded from 750K square feet (5 properties) to 5.5 million square feet (54 properties). He was accountable for an annual expense budget of $250 million and managed lease transactions in excess of 10 million square feet. During this period, Arthur built a team and administered a staff of 100+ employees. In summary, his responsibilities consisted of spearheading the property management, leasing, acquisitions, developments, dispositions and commissioning of all property classes within the Ottawa, Montreal and Saint John markets.
Prior to becoming Vice President for Morguard’s Eastern Canadian portfolio, Arthur was the Regional Controller for Morguard in British Columbia from 1988 to 1995 and was responsible for all financial aspects for 48 office, industrial and retail properties. Before taking on the Regional Controller role in British Columbia, he worked in different cities such as Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto offices within the Accounting and Finance Departments.

Denis Shank,
Executive Vice President & COO
Since September 1994, Denis has been managing properties ranging from multi-residential to mix-use properties (residential-commercial), industrial and office.
Furthermore, over the past several decades, Denis has completed acquisitions and design build mandates on behalf of local, national and international clients for office, industrial and retail buildings/complexes. He is known to provide is clients with a seamless point of contact for a wide spectrum of transactional and advisory property services. He has a wealth of expertise in the areas of site selection, design-build, client requirements analysis for leasing and purchase.
In the past several decades, Denis worked as a leasing director for SNC Lavalin, co-founded the Newmark Knight Frank Devencore Brokerage Ottawa office and prior to joining Devencore, worked for the Staubach Group of Companies, Brokerage Division for several years.
He is the founder & President of Capworth Commercial Realty Brokerage Corporation and the Co-Founder, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Capworth Property Management Corp..
